We are excited to be supporting this global market leader in the personal care and wellness category with a portfolio of brands with a high level of consumer loyalty and trust. Seeking their next Commercial Director, this role will work across fast paced, fun and highly innovative categories, leading not only the highly successful ANZ market but taking responsibility for the broader APAC region across all channel and go to market functions. Step in to a highly engaging team in the most profitable global business unit that drives best practice in trade and brand activity in a highly autonomous and impactful leadership role.
About the role
This is a diverse leadership role with full P&L responsibility for Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, Japan and emerging markets. With a strong focus in driving the success of the local business across grocery and pharmacy you will also take the lead on the growth markets internationally leading on all aspects of customer, category and brand development ensuring continued business growth and market expansion. This is a role that requires the ability to develop and implement the strategic operating plan, driving cross functional team collaboration and ensuring optimal ROI and acheivement of regional and global revenue objectives.
Skills and experience
For this position we require a broad skill set and commercial capability with demonstrated success in managing a P&L across complex markets and categories. Being a small and agile team, you will be required to provide the overall vision and guidance for the team but also apply a hands on approach nurturing the culture and engagement of the team and overall operating rhythms.
This is a role that manages multiple functions but is predominantly sales led and therefore requires a background of senior level channel management encompassing corporate grocery and pharmacy with exposure to international highly advantagoes. It is preferred the the successful candidate comes from the Health, Beauty or Baby Space however broader category experience will be considered.
