About the organisation
Kids Under Cover is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preventing youth homelessness. They take a unique and innovative early intervention approach to youth homelessness that begins with the provision of stable and secure accommodation. Committed to supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged young people between the ages of 12 and 25 since 1989, they respond to the needs of young people at risk of becoming homeless due to extreme conflict or overcrowding within the family home, mental health issues, and the housing affordability crisis. Taking an early-intervention approach to preventing youth homelessness, Kids Under Cover combine accommodation and scholarships for young people at-risk of homelessness.
 
About the role
Reporting into the Fundraising Manager – Supporter Relationships, this role will work closely with the Fundraising Coordinator and support other Fundraising team members with a range of income generating activities. You will provide support through administration, donation processing, database management, managing supporter interactions, prospect profiling and assisting with events. Your duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Processing donations, sending receipts and supporting with finance reconciliations;
  • Undertaking quality assurance for donor records and running reports for fundraising activities;
  • Responding to online and phone queries;
  • Creating welcome packs, marketing materials and collateral for supporters;
  • Supporting the team of the Donate Your Car program; and
  • Assisting with any other ad-hoc fundraising activities as required. 
About you
  • Previous experience in a customer service and/or administrative position required.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector and/or fundraising is highly desirable.
  • Strong CRM skills (Salesforce preferred), with an understanding of database, transactional and communication practices.
  • Ability to multi-task and organise competing priorities with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated initiative working autonomously and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow procedures and provide suggestions for process improvements.
