About the role!
One of our Government clients has embarked upon a significant program of transformation work having an impact department-wide.

The program is at the idea definition stage now and the successful candidate will be helping the team in the scoping of various stages of the projects. The candidate will also be establishing business needs, confirming the scope, and also focus on channelling the business investment required in the right direction. We have been advised of a number of roles going live over the coming weeks at various contract lengths. 

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, business and IT staff to successfully develop and implement the projects
  • Proactively manage key stakeholder relationships, and lead and conduct workshops and meetings as required to define as-is and to-be business processes, and ensure improved outcomes.
  • Take responsibility for investigative work to determine business and change requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, information  management, practices,   procedures, and organisation change.
  • Identify and assist the development of remediation plans to resolve any inconsistent or unclear business practices which could affect the success of the project.
  • Develop conceptual models of business processes utilising appropriate modelling techniques to develop end to end service mappings.
  • Guide and work with IT and business personnel to develop test strategies, plans and test cases; and assist with execution.
  • Contribute and sometimes deliver robust governance artefacts associated with the SDLC in a complex ICT delivery environment.
 
To be successful for this role, you will need to have:
  • At least 5+ years of Business Analyst experience.
  • Experience in business process re-engineering/redesign and implementation.
  • Experience in recording process metrics using BPM/Visio.
  • Experience working with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Experience writing user stories and use cases.
  • Experience understanding business process dynamics and the change management process.
