About the company
Our client is a manufacturer based in the western suburbs, in Altona. This role is ideal for anyone living in the western or northern suburbs as they require 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home. 


About the role 
The role is currently set as a contract role to get someone in as quickly as possible but has the potential to go permanent or be extended. The Financial Reporting Manager reports into the Financial Controller and is responsible for management accounting and statutory reporting, and supports the FC in managing accounting functions ensuring compliance with statutory and internal accounting standards and requirements. 
 
The Financial Reporting Manager manages the financial aspects of operations/production accounting & reporting. The role encompasses corporate, management and financial accounting reporting and compliance, product costing, budgeting & planning, shareholder reporting, taxation, auditing & controls. There will be some business analysis, business planning, reporting, compliance, controls and risk analysis, financial advisory, and manufacturing accounting.
 
This person will work closely with the operations teams providing them with guidance and a link between the finance team and operations/manufacturing team by providing timely and accurate analysis and highlighting unfavourable variances.
 
 
About you
  • Manufacturing/production/FMCG industry experience is required
  • CPA/CA qualification
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • SAP experience is desirable
  • You are immediately available or have a short notice period
  • You are happy to commute to Altona 4 days per week
