Our client, an established and highly reputable boutique investment management firm, is currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead finance and support the management team.  With a strong focus on ethical investing, you will be joining an organisation which is seeking to grow and you will play an active role in supporting this growth through your commercial acumen, helping deliver improved revenues and ensuring strong market position for the firm.
Your role will encompass managing a small team responsible for all day to day accounting and reporting for the registered managed companies and registered funds, specifically;
  • Ensuring strong financial control and cash management;
  • Managing budgeting and forecasting for each of the entities;
  • Providing insightful financial analysis and commentary
  • Managing all aspects of day to day administration associated with the Treasury Division;
  • Being actively involved in the leadership team and future direction of each entity
Experienced in financial services ideally in fund accounting, you will be a qualified Chartered Accountant and possess strong working knowledge of ASIC requirements.  You will be comfortable in challenging the status quo, providing key insights to ensure robust decision making.  Whilst involved in the day to day, your true value will lie in helping strategically position the business for long term success by bringing ideas to the table.  As a supportive and collaborative manager, you will ensure the team is set up for success, along with helping the Leadership team achieve organisational goals.
