Backed by a prevalent organisation within Heavy Industrial markets globally, and as part of a well-funded and calculated entry into the Australian market, our client is seeking an entrepreneurial and consultative Supply Development Manager to help launch this exciting software platform, and bring immense value to an enterprise based customer base.


About the role
 

Reporting directly to the CEO and COO in North America, this is a business critical position which requires a particularly astute sales professional to penetrate the correct markets and align the relevant senior stakeholders, in order to articulate the unique value proposition of this software solution.

The solution is designed to streamline and digitise vital workforce travel tasks for Tier 1 clients who operate heavily within Mining, Oil & Gas markets. It offers unique assistance with crucial requirements such as online crew accommodation, booking & management, air & ground transportation services, as well as simplified payment, reconciliation and cost control all in one centralised place.

This role will be responsible for building robust, sustainable relationships within the Hospitality (Hotel) sector and loading capacity into the clients software platform. For the right candidate, there is immense potential to spearhead the growth of this SaaS subsidiary and build a terrific legacy across the ANZ market.


Responsibilities  

  • The Supply Development Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Property Supply within the SaaS Program. 
  • Relationship management with individual hotels, management companies, ownership groups and national brands.
  • Sign on new properties into the system, as well as overseeing rate management, renewals, analysis and negotiations. 
  • Works closely with the senior leadership team to ensure all initiatives are carried out to promote the overall success of the platform. 
  • Responsible for all loading and data accuracy into the SaaS platform of the properties. Regularly working with the sales team to visit potential clients, conduct demos, and complete rate requests and job needs, to ensure business is being booked.
  • Liaise with internal departments such as Billing on all portfolio inaccuracies, Customer Service to add additional hotels and rates, Marketing to communicate new inventory and market demands, and Product to assist in improving functionality on both supply and customer usability.
  • Attendance at industry functions, seminars and educational sessions.
  • Manage the day to day functions of the Supply Success team inclusive of performance management, succession planning and task management. 

To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate 


  • A strong degree of commercial acumen and experience in new business development (i.e. excellent communication skills, business development, contract negotiation, and marketing skills)
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with demonstrated results across either SaaS Sales or Travel Management Sales, with an acute focus on the Hospitality sector, namely the Hotel industry.
  • High proficiency in the use of Salesforce.com to efficiently track and close new opportunities.
  • Ability to identify opportunities using resources such as Tenderlink, BCI and act swiftly to secure sales.
  • Established relationships and clout in dealing with top tier Hotel chains i.e. Radisson, Wyndham, Marriot and Accor etc.
