Our client is an ASX 100 business that has recently made a number of acquisitions to position itself as the market leader in convenience retail and corproate grocery. Due to a desire to bring internal capability inhouse, there is an exciting opportunity available for a Food Safety and Quality professional based out of the company's central corporate office in Melbourne's CBD

About the role

As the Food Safety and Quality Manager, you will be tasked with building a robust, fit for purpose Quality Management System to support the existing business and product framework whilst also allowing for increased product capability and offering at convenience locations. A key part of this role will encompass supplier quality, working with a range of domestic and global Tier 1 FMCG businesses as well as SMEs to focus on food safety, product quality and legislative compliance across a number of product categories. Outside of supplier product, you will also be responsible for overseeing the F2G and RTE range, managing the existing offering and supporting feasibility testing for increased capability.
What we are looking for

Working closely with the Innovation Manager and the GM of Convenience, this role is a fantastic opportunity for a technical professional with exprerience in some combination of retail convenience, corproate grocery and/or food manufacturing to put their stamp on a highly sought after opportuntiy in the market. You will have sound working knowledge and demonstrable track record in supplier management, stakeholder engagement and the product development process. Additionally, you will have a technical background in food science or similar, with Lead Auditor training seen as highly regarded. Comfortable in a standalone role and working highly crossfunctionally, you will be comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, as well as rolling out strategy and systems into an opereational environment.
