About the role:

Six Degrees Executive is partnering with a large State Government department in the recruitment of multiple AO5/AO6 Procurement Officer roles, part of the Procurement Services Group that provides a centralized Procurement Function to the Organisation. This is a collaborative, supportive and engaging team working on a range of different procurement initiatives across ICT and General goods and services (GGS).  
As part of the Procurement team, you will be working as part of a small team that administers the undertaking of strategic procurement projects and contract management activities relating to high-value/high-risk procurement activities for the organization.

What do you need to apply for this role?
  • End to end Government procurement experience.
  • Highly desirable Queensland Government Level 2/3 Procurement Certification or equivalent
  • Experience in SAP, Knowledge of Supply Chain Methodology and/or Queensland
  • Information Technology Contracting Framework is highly regarded (QITC and GGS).
What you will be responsible for:
  • Manage strategic procurement projects in collaboration with key stakeholders, ensuring that risk, probity, and transparency requirements are addressed. 
  • Deliver high-quality procurement advice and services covering procurement planning activities, sourcing documentation development, release and evaluation processes, contract negotiation, contract management including sound Category Management functions and administration activities.
  • Monitor and advise on financial, contract management and procurement systems compliance, in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and the State Procurement Policy.
  • Exercise a Procurement Delegation for sourcing activities validating that the procurement process undertaken has been in accordance with organisation policies and procedures and the Queensland State Procurement Policy. 
  • Administer contracts in collaboration with Contract Managers in accordance with the principles of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework. 
  • Negotiate and consult with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement and contract-related issues to identify specific business needs and to facilitate compliance within the required timeframes.
