ABOUT:

We are excited to be recruiting for a leading Queensland State Government department seeking multiple AO6 Senior HR Business Partners/Advisors to join their team on a contract basis.
There are several existing initiatives across organizational change, working force planning and generalist work to sink your teeth into. Partnering with internal stakeholders and managers on various cases to provide advice and build capacity will be a key remit of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement and advise on HR strategies, policies and practices that support the strategic direction of the department and its operations
  • Provide a range of contemporary HR services in a complex industrial environment, including – organisational change, restructuring, effective HR practices, workforce planning, talent acquisition, role design, learning and capability development, recruitment and selection, disciplinary processes, employee relations, complex case management, WH&S and employment entitlements
  • Lead and develop a high performing team of HR professionals to ensure they continue to achieve desired outcomes of their roles
  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with the broader HR team, as well as with high level stakeholders across the department and public sector, to deliver a range of HR strategies and initiatives
  • Develop, deliver and facilitate training and workshops
  • Identify and investigate organisational issues and their implications, recommending innovative solutions and options and facilitating the implementation of change plans
  • Prepare submissions, reports, correspondence and executive briefs on significant human resource issues
  • Represent the department as required at department and whole of Government HR forums
Selection Criteria:
 
· Experience in a Government organization or similar industry (highly regarded)
· Experience with case management and business partnering 
· ER/IR expertise (highly desirable)
