About the client
For the last40 years, our client has been servicing Australian customers and clients in Mining, Power, Construction, Infrastrutre and Manufacturing industries.
This challenging and rewarding role will see you undertake a variety of tasks; drive change, develop and manage existing clients aimed at generating new business and creating new revenue streams.

About the role
Reporting to the National Manager, this position will work alongside a local established support team responsible for assisting, manage and growing relationships within a large state portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the companies Ops Manager, Service Business Manager & MD ANZ to develop strategies for new business development.
  • Develop new business opportunities and new applications with new customers plus expand existing customers with new applications.
  • Estimate and prepare detailed proposals and quotations for projects and ongoing business.
  • Ensures effective assessments of sales results and takes pro-active action to achieve sales objectives.
  • Ensure all activities and engagements are captured to date in CRM.

Ideal background:
  • Have a Trade certificate or Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a similar sales role – selling products or services within resources, manufacturing, building, or engineering markets.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to negotiate and drive new opportunities with persistence.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of estimating and quoting within multisegmented industries.
  • A solid reputation for delivering results, continuous improvement and implementing strategic project planning.
