Redland Premium Fruit are a newly formed organisation in Regional Victoria with already a strong connection to the local community as an employer of 600+ people at peak times. They are a Goulbourn Valley based fruit processing and packing enterprise, who are part of the Redland Business Group. They operate fruit packing facilities, cool rooms and warehouses in Mooroopna and Shepparton. They are the result of a large site coming under new ownership, because of this there is considerable appetite for investment, growth, and modernisation of the operation. Operating in both domestic and international export markets, this vertically integrated agri-business is investing in its future success from a people and operations perspective.

Six Degrees Executive are exclusively recruiting for a newly created Continuous Improvement Manager. This is a greenfield role which will give you the opportunity to create a legacy within an organisation with ambitious growth plans.
 
The Opportunity

 
Given the organisation has recently taken over this operation and its facilities this is a greenfield role, you will be tasked with the responsibility of setting up the CI function from scratch.

The key responsibility of the role is to set up and facilitate continuous improvement methodologies and projects within operations team. You will be fully responsible for building the CI function from the ground up. You will be involved in supporting the delivery of improved value and greater efficiency through the identification and elimination of unnecessary waste within the businesses processes and implementation of better and more sustainable ways of working. In conjunction with the Operations leadership team the CI Manager will, prepare, communicate and roll out the Continuous Improvement strategy for Operations.


Skills & Experiences  
This is an exciting and integral role within the business and your experience and skill set will include the following:   
  • Relevant tertiary degree, Engineering or Science or equivalent 
  • Ability to see new and creative ways of improving processes. 
  • Proven experience in driving CI projects in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and lean techniques 
  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams to achieve outcomes. 
  • Effective communication – verbal and written.
