Senior Digital Product Owner

We are partnering with a global leader in the retail industry to support them on this next stage in their digital product journey. This brand is without a doubt a household name on a global scale!

We're seeking a seasoned and accomplished Senior Product Owner to join this innovative team. This is a newly formed role, that will see you supporting and collaborating with several agile product teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Work together to define the roadmap, the product vision, and the strategic growth possibilities.
  • Create, update, and manage the team backlog while working with stakeholders and clients to manage dependencies and prioritise activities.
  • Engage in active participation in the development process, guaranteeing a constant delivery of valuable solutions by making judgements based on company value and customer needs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders and the product team, facilitating strong communication and coordination with the Product Managers.
  • At every phase of the product development cycle, anticipate customer needs and represent them to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with a range of stakeholders, including those within Product and Development, as well as cross functional collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Legal, and IT. Providing guidance to ensure that everyone is accountable for the results.
  • Work together as a team to assist and mentor Junior Product Owners, drawing on your expertise to offer direction. Fostering a psychologically safe environment for all to grow and learn.
Qualifications:
  • Preferably a tertiary degree in a comparable field.
  • Agile and Product Owner certifications are preferred.
Your background:
  • Proven experience in a dedicated Product Owner role, ideally 5+ years as a PO
  • Positive leadership skills and a track record of successfully navigating systemic, cultural, procedural, and transformative changes.
  • Proficient at organising, planning, making decisions, and managing time effectively.
  • Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills, and a genuine commitment to providing business and customer value.
  • Proficient in consulting and negotiating with diverse stakeholders within agreed timelines.
  • Adaptability in an agile, complex, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to make recommendations based on commercial experience.
