Commercial Environmental Health and Safety Manager (ANZ)

Location: melbourne
Salary: Base + Super + discretionary bonus
Job Type: permanent
Contact: Robert Scacco
About the business:

Our client is a Fortune 500 global manufacturer of speciality chemicals to both the B2B and B2C markets across a range of core business units. With an organisation-wide commitment to people and product safety as well as quality, the business is well placed to continue its strong trajectory.

About the opportunity:

Supporting the organisation's commercial footprint, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager wll be responsible for driving performance across the non-manufacturing footprint of the business, namely it's retail direct-to-consumer portfolio as well as B2B footprint across architectural, automotive and industrial markets. Reporting into the Regional EHS Manager for ANZ, this role will help drive safe outcomes across a national footprint, working to implement robust safety systems and driver core stakeholder relationships to enact positive performance in key OH&S markers.

If you are looking for the opportunity to continue in or step up to an autonomous role with a large footprint and a diverse range of stakeholders, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a role with an ANZ remit, with moderate travel expectations and working under a well established senior leader with a wealth of experience. This role will allow you to drive tangible change, roll-out a robust set of global systems and implement local change.
What we are looking for:

This role is well suited to an EHS professional with a background in the commercial space, be it across retail, hardware or white collar safety. Exposure in operational environments would be seen as an additional bonus but not a dealbreaker in this role. You will be someone who can communicate to people with differing levels of experinece and OH&S knowledge, able to influence outcomes and bring a "hands on" feel to the role.

Why this role?

This role presents a rare opportunity to join an organisation with well established global safety systems, procedures and governance already in place for you to rollout across this business footprint. You will be given exposure across a wealth of different environments, supported by a wider EHS team but given autonomy in this role. Travel requirements are very reasonable for this role, giving you the opportuntiy to be based out of the Eastern Suburbs core site rather than being constantly on the road.
